Satcotek’s ALOE BARBADENSIS EXTRACT | CAS 85507-69-3/94349-62-9

Satcotek distributes high-quality Aloe Vera products, including Aloe Vera Gel 1:1 (organic certified), Aloe Vera Powder 100:1 (spray dried), and Aloe Vera Powder 200:1 (freeze dried). Aloe Vera is one of the oldest medicinal plants, thriving in warm regions with calcareous and sandy soils. Cultivated in large plantations across Central America, the USA, China, and other countries, the plant is harvested only after reaching three years of age. Each harvest allows for the careful selection of mature outer leaves, which are then processed to extract the precious gel. Due to its unstable nature, Aloe Vera gel is preserved in concentrated and stabilized forms, such as thickened gels (10x or 40x) and highly concentrated powders (up to 200x). Satcotek works with experienced suppliers who ensure quality and expertise in processing.

INCI ALOE BARBADENSIS EXTRACT

The Composition and Properties of our INCI ALOE BARBADENSIS EXTRACT

Pure Aloe Vera Gel has a naturally acidic pH of around 4.5 and contains valuable polysaccharides like acemannan, glucomannan, and mannose derivatives. It also includes vitamins (B1, B2, tocopherol), amino acids (lysine, threonine, valine), enzymes (oxidase, amylase, lipase), and secondary components such as phytosterols and salicylic acid. To ensure safety, anthraquinones like aloin and barbaloin, which are present in the outer leaf tissue, are carefully removed to levels below 10 ppm, with a recommended maximum of 50 ppm. These natural compounds contribute to the effectiveness of Aloe Vera in skincare and cosmetic applications.

Aloe Vera’s Unique Benefits for Skin and Health

Aloe Vera is renowned for its cooling, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and moisturizing properties. Its powerful antioxidant effects protect the skin, while its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin fiber production enhances skin elasticity and accelerates cell regeneration. Scientific studies, including animal research, suggest that Aloe Vera supports wound healing and has antiphlogistic (anti-inflammatory) effects. These unique properties make Aloe Vera a highly sought-after ingredient in cosmetic products, ranging from cleansing milks and body lotions to lip care, facial masks, sunscreens, and self-tanners.

Formulation and Usage in Cosmetic Products

To achieve optimal results in cosmetic formulations, Aloe Vera Gel 1:1 should be used at concentrations of 10-20%, while considering its slightly acidic pH. For an alternative to fresh gel, Aloe Vera Powder 100:1 and 200:1 provide sterile and preservative-free options. The highly concentrated Aloe Vera Powder 200:1 is used at levels of 0.1-0.5%, allowing easy incorporation into warm oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. A 0.1% concentration of Aloe Vera Powder 200:1 is equivalent to 20% Aloe Vera Gel 1:1, ensuring that formulators can create effective skincare products using minimal amounts of the concentrated powder.
