Satcotek vertreibt Ascorbylisostearat. Ascorbylisostearat ist ein öllösliches, flüssiges Antioxidans. Die Wasserlöslichkeit ist gering. Ascorbylisostearate ist sehr farbstabil und mit den meisten kosmetischen Emollients kalt mischbar. Eine Erwärmung wie für Ascorbyl Palmitate- oder Stearat ist nicht erforderlich.
Die Herstellung von Ascorbylisostearat, ein Vitamin C Derivat und Vitamin C Quelle gelingt aus Ascorbinsäure und Iso-Stearinsäure.
Ascorbylisostearat kann als Antioxidans in kosmetischen Produkten in Konzentrationen von 0,01 bis 0,2 % eingesetzt werden.
Die Wirkung des Ascorbylisostearat ist hauptsächlich beim Anwender der Schutz der Hautzellen gegenüber UV-B und UV-A Strahlung und in der Formulierung der Schutz von pflanzlichen Ölen gegenüber Oxidation.
Ascorbylisostearat beschleunigt die Kollagensynthese der Haut und eignet sich daher ausgezeichnet für Antiaging Produkte.
Ascorbylisostearat reduziert die Melaninbildung in der Haut und wird daher gern in `Skinwhitening‘ Produkten eingesetzt. Durch eine enzymatische Reaktion wird das Ascorbylisostearat in Ascorbinsäure und Fettsäure aufgespalten. Die Ascorbinsäure verhindert den Oxidationsschritt zum Melanin.
